Welcome to Sundara Studios
|
Sundara Studios is the workshop of jewellery designer Tracey Brailsford. Based in Hamilton, Ontario, Tracey has studied art and design at both the University of Guelph and Mohawk College. Her creativity and sense of whimsy combine beautifully with her meticulous workmanship to produce fun and fabulous adornments that are unusual, yet totally wearable.
Tracey's career in jewellery design began several years ago when she designed and created a pink Peruvian opal necklace for her best friend as a Christmas gift. The necklace garnered so much attention that soon Tracey was creating jewellery for a bridal shop. Sundara's business has grown steadily since, primarily through openhouses, art sales, and a funky artisans' co-op on Hamilton's trendy Locke Street called Textures. Sundara baubles can now be seen all over the place, giving Tracey a little thrill every time she sees a piece of her jewellery out in the world adorning a total stranger.
Please browse this online chest of treasures, lingering on whatever catches your fancy. Each piece is hand-made and is one-of-a-kind. All Sundara jewellery is created in sterling silver or fine silver (recycled and 99.9% pure), with semi-precious stones, pearls, handblown glass, natural woods, and other unique components. Clasps are toggle or spring-style for easy, secure fastening. Sundara jewellery is comfortable to wear, and built to last. Pop on a jangly candy-hued bracelet, or a saucy little pair of earrings.
